After Dark

The entries are in and the judges have spoken.

Many thanks to all who entered the After Dark competition and congratulations to Caroline, Patricia and Dermot, the Grade 1, 2 and 3 winners respectively. Their winning images and other entries can be seen throughout this post.

After judging the photos and whilst the scores were being tallied we took a look at the panels the club entered in to this year’s SACC Interclub Competition which was held on March 29th in Kilkenny.

For details on this event and a look at the club’s entries please check out the SACC Interclub competition results post.

A brief summary of the event would be to say that the overall result was disappointing – 10th place – but it is pleasing to see images from a greater number of members being represented in the panels themselves.

The standard of photographs across the competition has increased significantly in the past few years with an increasing trend towards created and ‘artistic’ images.

It is hoped that members do not become disillusioned by the results but see it as an opportunity to work collectively on our photography.

Other After Dark entries…

The next club competition is Music. Entries are due at the meeting on May 13th.
