Annual Fundraising Exhibition

This year’s Clonakilty Camera Club Annual Fundraising Exhibition took place in the Celtic Ross Hotel on the evening of Thursday, June 25th. The recipients of all funds raised at this year’s exhibition will be the West Cork Animal Welfare Group.

We were delighted to welcome Paudie Palmer of C103 fame to officially open this year’s exhibition along with the Mayor of Clonakilty, Cionnaith Ó Suilleabhain. We were regaled with tales of their own photographic exploits as were appreciative of their admiration for the photographs on display and the respect held for the work done by the West Cork Animal Welfare Group.

We also heard from Jennifer Headlam, the Chair of the West Cork Animal Welfare Group who told us of the voluntary work they do in finding homes for stray pets and caring for abandoned animals.

Thanks to the Staff and Management of the Celtic Ross Hotel for the use of the Round Tower Room and for providing tea and coffee and also many thanks to Carbery Dairy Products who provided the nibbles.

As always, thanks must also go to members of the camera club who volunteered their time to frame and hang the photographs and delved into their own pockets to purchase tickets at the raffle.

Framed photographs are on sale at €75 and mounted only photographs are on sale at €50. A minimum of 50% of the sale price will be donated by the Club to the West Cork Animal Welfare Group.
