Open water swimmer, Steve Redmond, was the guest speaker at the Annual Photographic Exhibition, 2014 held at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery. The exhibition opened on July 26th and remains open to the public for the next 6-8 weeks.

Steve’s inspirational talk was about overcoming the challenges, both mental and physical, when confronted by the vast expanse of open waters ahead. Steve’s motto, learnt through hard work and subsequent success is, “Don’t think about doing it, just do it.” As photographers we can often be challenged and confronted by a vast expanse of creative nothingness and his motto is equally apt in this situation. Just take photos!
“Don’t think about doing it, just do it.”
Many thanks to Steve for accepting our invitation and officially opening our exhibition, to the management & staff of the Celtic Ross Hotel for providing the exhibition space and help on the night and to all members of the camera club for their creative input and assembling the exhibition.
Monies raised through the sale of the photographs will be donated to the West Cork Rapid Response Unit in Clonakilty.
Framed photographs are for sale at €75 of which a minimum of €50 will be donated to the Unit.
