Long strand

A warm evening on the Long Strand

A dozen of us gathered on the Long Strand on Wednesday the 4th of May.  It was a beautiful evening with sunny spells, a light wind and sand warm enough for bare feet.  The tide was on its way in with lots of movement around the rocks to create interest.

Apart from a couple of fishermen positioned a little further up the beach it was pretty quiet.  Later in the evening, a couple of tourists approached to ask “Why are you all taking photographs of the ocean!” Later, a cheery group with a dog passed by laughing and asking whether we wanted them to pose on the rocks.

Though the sunset was less impactful than we had hoped, there were ample subjects to focus on and we all left with loads of images after a happy evening spent catching up and chatting.  A selection of these is below. Click on the images to open the gallery and see them in a larger format.
