For the first time the camera club is exhibiting members’ photos at the Quality Hotel & Leisure Centre here in Clonakilty. The photos will be on display in the hotel over the summer months. All photos are for sale and a minimum of €50 of the sale will go to the Clonakilty Cardiac First Responders group whose mission is to train as many individuals as possible within the community in C.P.R. (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation).
Members of this local voluntary group go out into the community to teach CPR and the use of AEDs, Automated External Defibrilators and keep the machines equipped with the necessary pads etc. On occasions, members of the First Responders will literally be the first responder in an emergency situation.
